Miguel Felipe Valenzuela (aka FMGrande) works across various disciplines including media art, photography, drawing, digital and analogue video and experimental sculpture. He has exhibited at the Sheffer Gallery, Damien Minton Gallery and 107 Projects in Redfern, Australia, individually and as part of the SYNC! collective. His video art work has been exhibited at Mekanarky Studios, the University of Technology Sydney, the University of New South Wales, Kudos Gallery, ACMI Federation Square in Melbourne, Simon Fraser Univesity, Vancouver and Pehrspace, Los Angeles. His work Rhizome Prism, a collaborative interactive structure, was part of the Vivid Lights festival in Sydney in 2015, an iteration of the work was installed at SFU in Vanouver, Canada in the same year. He has recently collaborated with renowned artist Julia Flanagan during a residency at the "Lake House" in Lake Macquarie, Awabakal country, the work was developed into a large scale interactive installation presented at the Multi-Arts Pavillion, MAP Mima, from September and December, 2024. Valenzuela has a Phd in Art, Design and Media, from the University of New South Wales and lectures in art and media at universities and colleges in Australia.
