Miniature Series: the scale of everyday life, 2011
Photography has been a particular interest for Valenzuela, particularly the relationship between photgraphy and moving images. In the "Miniatures" series below, Valenzuela uses HO scale miniature figures as a means of exploring the concept of scale in everyday activities like washing the dishes. Further experiments using figures were developed for installation projects. He is developing new work that combines this technique with three dimensional CGI models.
