"Audax Miniaturen" SYNC!! exhibition and symposium, 107 Projects, Redfern
Audax Miniaturen, was initially installed as a site specific work at the 2014 COFA Postgraduate Research Conference and subsequently for SYNC!! at 107 Projects in Redfern that same year. The initial version of the project consisted of redundant technology housed in a white box approximately 2.5 in height, width and depth. 'Windows' were cut into the box, allowing a view into small diorama settings within. Each diorama served as a metaphor for spatiotemporal moments as conceptual space-time phenomena, pivotal to the understanding of space and how humans conceptualize, behave, observe and interact within it. The work is a hybrid media arts installation project that scrutinizes the relationship between the pace of technological development and our increasing dependence on technology. Utilising current and redundant technology, video art, robotics and light, Audax:Miniaturen explores the unlikely intersections between cybernetic theory, creative play with controlled miniaturization, shadows, light and emerging techno-cultural trends."Audax Miniaturen", 2014
